Fees & Rebates
This is a mixed billing practice, with fees dependent on the nature of the service provided. For therapeutic services, I see clients under Medicare, Private Health Insurance and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). While the Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends a standard fee of $318 for a 50-minute consultation (link), and the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi) recommends $330, I aim to keep my services accessible by setting fees below these rates, without compromising on quality care and specialised support. Please see the breakdown of fees and additional information below, current as of the 1 July 2025.

What is a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)?
A Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) is a structured plan created by a GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician to support people experiencing mental health concerns. It allows eligible Australian residents with a valid Medicare card to access Medicare-subsidised sessions with a psychologist or other mental health professional. MHCPs fall under the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), making professional care more affordable. For more information, below are some helpful links about MHCP eligibility:
How many Medicare sessions are available:
A Mental Health Care Plan allows you to claim a rebate for up to 10 sessions (50 minutes each) per calendar year.Initial: 6 sessions
Additional: 4 sessions (requires review with your referrer, such as your GP).
How do I claim the rebate:
The full fee will be paid at the conclusion of the session. We will then process the Medicare rebate for you, with the rebate paid directly into the bank account you have linked with Medicare.
What do I bring to my first appointment:
You need to bring a copy of the Referral Letter and Mental Health Care Plan to your first consultation. Without the referral, you will not receive the rebate from Medicare.

I understand that sometimes life happens and you may need to change your appointment. I kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your session, otherwise the full session fee applies and must be paid prior to your next session.
