I do not provide assessments for forensic or court purposes.
Psychological Assessment
-
Let’s chat! A phone consultation (approx. 10 to 15 minutes) will help me to understand what you are hoping to achieve, what your concerns are, and what you can expect during the assessment process. There is no fee associated with this step, and no obligation to continue after speaking.
-
The initial consultation (around 50–60 minutes) provides the opportunity to gather important background information while also acknowledging your experiences to date. This session not only contributes to the final report but also supports in the creation of a personalised assessment plan. This session can be conducted in person or via Telehealth.
-
I’ll provide you with a clear outline of the recommended assessments, steps involved, and estimated costs. From here, you can choose whether to now is the right time to continue. There is no obligation to proceed if now is not the right time for you or your child.
-
This step will involve the administration of specific assessments such as cognitive (e.g. WISC-V/WAIS-5) or achievement (e.g. WIAT-III) tests. This may also include the administration of structured or semi-structured interviews and (e.g. MIGDAS-2, ADOS-2), and parent-reported or teacher-reported questionnaires. Cognitive and achievement assessments will need to be face to face. Other assessments can be discussed to determine whether Telehealth is appropriate.
-
After the testing/assessment session(s) have been completed, and collaborative feedback received (e.g. teacher-reported information, parent-reported information), the report will be finalised within 1 - 2 weeks. We will then meet for a feedback session (approx. 50 minutes) to go through the results and recommendations. This session provides a supportive space to process the information, reflect, and ask any questions you may have. This session can be completed in person or via Telehealth.
